My best friend told me she had sex with a guy she told her boyfriend not to worry about. She told me it was a one-time thing and regretted it, but I kept encouraging her to tell her boyfriend because it would be better for him to hear from her rather than someone else.

Last night, she told me she planned to meet this guy again. I got mad at her because obviously, she didn’t regret it like she said she did. Out of frustration, I ranted to my boyfriend about it. He got mad at me and said I was just as bad for protecting her.

My boyfriend then called her boyfriend (they’re friends) and told him about her cheating.

Now my best friend is mad at me and blaming me for ruining her relationship.

I guess my question is, am I a bad person for not telling her boyfriend? Or am I a bad friend for snitching on her? OR AM I BOTH???
