Catholic Priest Defiles Under Age Girl

Police in the eastern Ugandan district of Busia have detained a Catholic priest on suspicion of defiling a minor pupil.

Police claim that the priest, whose identity is hidden, was taken into custody after being reported to them by the parents of a 16-year-old girl (whose name is also omitted due to her status as a juvenile) who had taken the primary leaving exams the previous year.

The girl told authorities that she had been called to the priest’s residence, and when she arrived, she discovered him sitting in his sitting room sipping whisky, as The Monitor reported. As he informed her that he would enroll her in a boarding secondary school and cover her tuition, he also gave her some bottles of Pepsi.

The girl gave him her gratitude and admiration for being a decent priest who assists underprivileged people like her. Then she remarked that it was becoming late and that she wanted to go home.

However, she claimed that the priest, who had by then grown inebriated, grabbed her, dragged her to his bedroom, and violently raped her.

She claimed that when he fucked her, he broke her virginity and caused her great anguish. He fucked her harder despite her pleas for him to stop. Without using condoms, she claimed he gave her three rounds of sex.

He instructed the girl not to discuss the incident after giving her 20,000 shillings. But after the girls informed her parents of what had happened, they called the police, which resulted in his apprehension.
